Description
Bellapais Silk Cocoon Festival has taken place every year in May since 2005, with the main purpose and vision of promoting silk worm farming and silk cocoon crafting. The festival not only includes in silk cocoon crafting, but also promotes handicrafts representing the Cypriot culture in addition to the unique examples of local food culture.
The 19th Cyprus Silk Cocoon Days, which are organized in cooperation with Girne Municipality, Green Action Group, and Beylerbeyi Municipality, and sponsored by KKTC Telsim Communication, will take place on May 4-5. Just like every year, the 19th Cyprus Silk Cocoon Days, which will feature beautiful events and cultural tastes, will have its official opening on May 4, Saturday at 10am.
BOOTHS, EXHIBITIONS, PRESENTATIONS...
The event, will have various activities such as exhibitions, presentations, booths, poetry recitals, handicrafts, tree planting, music performances, and more.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED
Moreover, it is mentioned that public transportation support will be provided to increase participation in the event. Accordingly, free buses departing from Baldoken Parking Lot will regularly shuttle between the event area and the parking lot on May 4, Saturday, and May 5, Sunday, between 10 am and 6:15 pm.
