Usually olive festival in North Cyprus takes place in the first week of October. A week full of celebrations and fun. Many visitors from all over the island come to zeytinlik village which becomes an entertainment center during the olive festival. Locals show their skills in making delicious foods with olive oil, and also you can find several North Cyprus handcrafts including potteries, handmade baskets and others.
For those who like dancing and party, live music and folklore dancing fills the festival with so much fun for visitors. Kyrenia harbour also hosts concerts by popular singers and celebrations in the honor of the festival.
Sometimes olive factories also open their doors for visitors who are interested to see the process of making olive oils.
